DONATE A DAY OF FREEDOM

A Day of Freedom is what it costs our non-profit organisation to ensure the freedom and safety of every single one of our lions every single day –  free-roaming in the heart of their Protected Area, as is their nature-given right.

By donating a Day of Freedom for Marah you are supporting her royal lineage who survives and flourishes in their natural heritage lands, to the fourth generation.

1 Day of Freedom costs: $ 95

Meet Marah

Starting with the founder lioness, Queen Marah, born in Bethlehem on Christmas Day in 2000, all the great personalities in this project are living legends, with epic real-life stories.

Marah’s mother was forcibly removed from her natural ecosystem. After Linda and her team fought for her freedom for 6 years, and finally released her and her cubs back into her ancestral lands in 2006, Marah formidably shattered all misperceptions about White Lions being unable to hunt and survive in the wild. Not only did she hunt successfully, but she raised her cubs (ZihraLetaba and Regeus) to adulthood under free-roaming conditions and taught them to hunt self-sufficiently within weeks of gaining her freedom. Her hunting success rate was comparable to the wild-born tawny lionesses that were observed in the same environment, under the exact same conditions, and the wasteland flourished and restored into a Paradise under her pawprint.
